....... been awhile since I've posted anything ....... and since then my Dad has past away , and I haven't seen my Mom in about 6 weeks ( her choice ) , I have had a lot of time to think , about myself and this world we live in .
About this world I'm not sure , so many things going on , so many changes , there is always something new to think about .
About myself , I'd just as soon go to a mountain top or a desert and just sit and wonder what is going on in the rest of the world . Sometimes it's just so difficult to think , so much noise .
In my family life , things are different . My youngest daughter has moved out and has a place of her own " sort'a " . My oldest son is a senior in college still living at home . My youngest son is a freshman in college .
That's it for now .

.. I've been looking a lot lately at medical web sites ,just to do some research , cause as of right now both my Mom and Dad are in transitional care units ( different ones ) , and 2 of my sisters are in poor health as well . My bitch ( not the female dog ) is the price just to stay alive ! This is terrible , even vitamins are out of site . Why are so many people that say they want to help so greedy ? What about love your fellow man ( or woman ) ? Why is it so hard to give a little time , a little love , to help someone ? Didn't Jesus say that we should give even our enemy's a cup of water ?
To all you care giver's out there I admire you . Give out of a pure heart . And when you burn out or just need a rest take it . How can someone help someone else if they are to tried to do so ?

..... long time since I've written anything , over a year , things are still pretty much the same , family , work , church , work , work , you get the idea . I have started Tai-Chi classes though , this lat January , so it's been about 10 months . Doing good there , acording to my teacher , hope to stay in it for a long time , hopefully the rest of my life . It as helped me with my balance , and calmed by thought's some what . I have to keep my mind on what I'm doing .

.......... has it been over a month ?
......... lots been going on to . Started Tai-Chi lessons about 4 weeks ago , meeting once a week for 2 hours , it's somthing I've been wanting to do for a long , long time , but the price per -lesson wa s always to costly . A friend of mine David , had taken some classes before and is really very good at it . Anywho , David asked he's teacher if he could teach some of us out-of-shape , cockie types , some Tai-Chi , and wonder of wonder's he agreed . Anywho , it's great for me . I feel better and think it will improve my overall health . We , ( I ) still have a long way to go , but , it will be great !

.... well we're over half way through the year of 2005 , it's July and it's HOT , but it could be worse , we could be having our transportation system but on edge like London ..... it's so sad that people have to die because of a few F__k Ups that have no value on life . Maybe these bombers should just all get together and have one big party and they all just blow each other up ........ wishful thinking .
I haven't been doing a lot of reading this summer , but one book by : Larry Luxenberg on " Walking the Appalachian Trail " has been taking up a lot of my time . I would like to hike the " A.T." , but right now I could only do it in sections , which is o.k. But , if I did the whole 2,185.5 miles it would probably have to be after retirement ( early I hope ) . If anyone has done the trail in whole or part I'd like to hear from you .

.... Finally finished reading " Crime and Punishment " by Fyodor Dostoesky , last weekend . It was a very good read , but slow in some parts , with probably to much detail for my taste . Kind'a long , but hey in the time of his writting , writer's where paid by the word in Russia , so this really made for long novels , like " War and Peace " by Tolstoy . Would like to wait a couple of months and read it again to see if i can find things I missed , which will probably be everything . I have bought other books by Dostoevsky I plan on reading hopefully this year ........ we'll see ..........

Had a request from my friend David today to " write more posts " . Well o.k. David , and anybody else that might pass this way .
Today is my 31 wedding anniversary , and it is also my wife Donna's . Come to find out we were married on the same day , back in 1973 .... lol . I LOVE my wife , we have had a lot of good and not so good times in the past 31 years . But by the grace of God , He has brought us through . At the onset our marriage was based on God , and our faith in Him , His faith in us , and His Son Jesus . Although we have not been loving or kind at times , His faith as endured when ours have failed .
As I look toward Christmas I see hope , because of a ( the ) God that had faith in His creation , to send the Creator of All to be All and to live in us , a part of creation that bears His image .

Psalm 130 part 2 ....
We talked some more about suffering again today ..... a person could stay on psalm 130 or probably any verse in the bible for a long time and get more than just 1 topic ... Brad read a quote from Eugene Peterson , ( by the way Brad is 42 today ) , this is what he read ...
" The earth can be ravaged , still it cannot suffer . Man and woman , alone in the creation , suffer . For suffering is pain plus : physical or emotional pain plus the awareness that our own worth as people is threatened , that our own value as creatures made in the dignity of GOD is called into question , that our own destiny as eternal souls is jeopardized . Are we to be , finally , nothing ? Are we to be discared ? Are we to be rejects in the universe and thrown onto the garbage dump of humanity because our bodies degenerate or our emotions malfunction or our minds becaome confused or our families find fault with us , or society avoids us ? Any one of these or , as is more likely , a combination of them , can put us in what Psalm 130 calls the depths .

Went this past thursday night to " New City Cafe " in the old City in Knoxville , with my son ,and Doug one of my buddies , to a study of " The Gospel in Dostoyevsky " , by Father Freeman of Oak Ridge , here is a little bit in the opening of The Grand Inquistor :

This morning at our meeting ( church ) Brad shared part 1 of Psalm 130 , part 2 next week , anyway , much was said about suffering , most of it good . A quote from Rita " There is no Hope without Despair " . We have all suffered in one way or another , has it brought you closer to God , or did you turn ( your ) tail and run from what would probably be your healing ? The church as failed so many people while they where suffering ,

Last nights game in the rain ... Alcoa 44 ,
Sweetwater 12 ... a very long and wet game , my son is an offensive guard and very good at it too . Rain started yesterday as an off and on thing , but since late afternoon it hasn't stopped , raining hard at times , suppose to end tomorrow sometime , will probably be a lot of flooding . Iven has been a bad strom and it seems that another one is brewing , Jeanne I think . I stayed home from work today , the first time in about 6 years that I'd called in . Oh' well we all need a break sometimes ......

Like what you say .. ( I know you said it , I heard you ,, not really ), I don't know you tell me . There has to be something in this fallen world , perhaps
in Heaven . I beleive in Heaven , do you ? If you believe in Heaven , do you also believe in hell ? If there is a Heaven , then there must be a hell , right ? Jesus talked a lot about both . I'm not a preacher , that's just what I believe . You don't have to be a preacher , people can tell what you believe by the way you act . And your lifestyle .... What can of lifestyle are you showing those around you ?

At our meeting ( church ) this mourning BLOGSPOT was the word . A lot of good things where said .
Everyonce in a while we just get caught up on what's going on in each others lives , ain't that what church and fellowship is suppose to be , it doesn't have to be how bad we are or how many sins we commited this past week . I enjoy just talking or mostly just listening to others , there is much to said about listening .... So, I would just like to encourage you ( who ever you are ) to sometimes just shut-up and listen . If you want to hear God , He's in the still small voice , and sometimes that voice is
from a child ....
And sometimes it is as the sound of many , many waters .........

Saturday Night !!!!!!!! Sounds like an oxy-moron or some kind of moron anyway . I've been looking through orher peoples bolgs for awhile and I'm not really excited . I think I'll just write my own stuff and see if anybody sents me a comment . I doubt it , because most people are to busy to have another conversation with anyone else , and really , who needs another friendship ? Everybody has problems and nobody really cares ,they are to busy with their own troubles and life . This world really sucks . No wonder there is so much greed , and killing and lies .....
We kill babies before they are born , we kill children before they start school and if they do go to school we teach them to be like us ..... a very aweful way to live ....

Just about finished with my coffee and breakfast , trying to get myself prepared for a bike ride . Nice and sunny out at about 65 degrees . Not sure which way I'll go , I don't like to plan that far in advance . Living in East Tennesse , anyway I go will be hills and mountains to climb , but coasting down the otherside is a blast !!!! Not like real life , when you think that a coast down hill from something bad you just went through , you'd be mostly worried about what waited at the bottom of the hill just out of sight around that bend in the road , will it be something great , or will you fall of the edge .......
